Adartem by Mantovainforma is an incoming society for tourism with a long-lasting experience of 10 years and more in Mantua and its province.
Undoubtedly Mantua is a charming city deserving a visit from our European guests, always welcomed in our territory.
Here art and history are at their best offering a rich range of interesting monuments such as the Ducal Palace, the residence of the famous Gonzaga family. Its members loved having the most prominent artists at their service and were known worldwide for their collections of masterpieces by Pisanello, Andrea Mantegna, Giulio Romano, Titian, Tintoretto, Rubens etc.
The “Te Palace” or Palazzo Te is a wonderful villa planned by Giulio Romano, Raphael’s best pupil, whose wide rooms -richly frescoed and surrounded by loggias, gardens, a secret room with a grotto –can fulfil a pleasant visit.
The Basilica of St. Andrews is a marvel of the great Renaissance architect L.B. Alberti; the Academic Theatre by Bibiena is a jewel of the Baroque, built under Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria.
In the city centre picturesque medieval squares offer fascinating views, while a few miles far off the province reveals little towns and a relaxing natural landscape: an isolated princely court named Sabbioneta, the ideal city of the Duke Vespasiano Gonzaga; the monastery of St. Benedict, an outstanding monument in the green plain of the river Po; St. Maria delle Grazie, a holy sanctuary preciously decorated at only 7 km from the centre, on the banks of the Superior Lake.
Well-organised excursions on motorboats or ecological boats can grant pleasant moments along the river Mincio down to its confluence into the river Po.
